HALO: REACH (PC) REVIEW - Achieve stars

Hallo: The Master Chief Collection is a compilation of first-person shooter video clip games in the Halo series, initially launched in November 2014 for the Xbox One, as well as in the future Microsoft Windows with 2019 as well as 2020. An enhanced version was released for the Xbox Collection X|S in November 2020. The collection was developed by 343 Industries in partnership with various other workshops and was published by Xbox Game Studios. The collection includes Halo: Fight Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Wedding anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: DST, Halo: Reach, and also Halo 4, which were originally released on earlier Xbox platforms. Each game included in the Master Chief Collection obtained a graphical upgrade, with Halo 2 receiving a total high-definition redesign of its audio and also cutscenes, special to the collection, to celebrate its 10th wedding anniversary. The game consists of accessibility to the live-action series Halo: Nightfall in addition to the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta that was offered for a restricted time. The collection's multiplayer attributes every map originally launched with each game, including six Halo 2 maps remade from the ground up. At launch, critics normally commended The Master Chief Collection for its updated sound as well as visuals, in addition to its quantity of content, however was also met adverse reception for its multiplayer aspects because of a considerable number of pests and also bad matchmaking experiences. A lot of these technological issues were later fixed in post-release patches.

This was a mad five-year period for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. I will not dwell on the appalling launch he was confronted in 2014, but it's worth recognizing the heart and perseverance that paved the way for his success today. The Revolution that the Collection has known about Console and its debut on PC testify to the Passion of 343 for the franchise and the fans care.

Halo Reach PC Review

As hard to cook, I am incredibly grateful. El Rito was a valiant attempt for the fans to take things in hand, but that did not quite fit the potential of Halo on the platform. Fortunately, this intrepid team helps 343 with the official support The Mods in the future. Hallo: The surprisingly fluid launch of REACH on PC, as well as the first day's gargantuan sales figures have revived my hope for the future. Hallo's glory days may be over, but with the MCC that now fulfills the promise of his premises and Reach that works wonderfully on the mouse and the keyboard, it feels like a new age begins. I may be too optimistic, but except for some reproaches, I like my time with the game.

Curiously, Reach is not my first incursion with halo on PC. At the time, I played the entire Halo 1 campaign on PC, including countless CTF hours on Blood Gulch. By entering Reach, I was hoping it would work halfway, as well as Combat Evolved at the time. In action, it is almost perfect, apart from the momentary gel that occurs each time you unlock a feat. This bug made me kill in all modes at least once.

My equipment is moderately powerful with an RTX 1080 and 8700K processor. On average, I maintain between 150-300 IPS at 1440p on a 144Hz G-Sync monitor. I have the option of unlimited RATERATE currently experimental engaged with V-Sync deactivated. At these settings, the game is spectacular to play. It is obvious that the higher refresh rate option is still being maintaining, because your weapon does not seem so silky as the other modern shooters at the high rates, but that does not interfere with the experience. Of course, play halo on the mouse and keyboard compared to a controller was initially discordant, but after sharpening my sensitivity, my FOR and my keyboard shortcuts, it seems excellent.

I appreciate a graphically elegant game, but I privilege performance to visual fidelity. On this forehead, Reach is booming on PC. Although old with a decade, it seems quite elegant with the enhanced graphic option. It allows greater drawing distances and the slightly improved textures that complement the experience at every moment. Facial animations have not aged well, but I do not hold it against a cast of otherwise stellar voice.

By default, the sound is awful on PC. Weapons seem distant and stifled, and music dominates all the rest. I love the score of Marty, but I need to hear the impact The guns, The enemy jokes and the explosive sounds of the battle to feel immersed. I have read that 343 actively worked on the improvement of the audio mix, because the portage of the 360 to PC game has presented a list of problems, as might be expected. After adjusting the settings myself, it's bearable. I thought I was recently spoiled by the Immaculate Sound Design of Modern Warfare. In fact, I'm not the only one to have the audio worries.

Although I have been considering the REACH campaign in high estimate, I did not see it once in the new years. Fighting the alliance alongside Noble Team not only recalled why I had liked the game at the origin, but also provided a brand-new experience on the mouse and keyboard. I still prefer halo without the flowering of the reticle and the capacities of armor, but these elements do not ruin the gameplay for me.

Multiplayer Reach is now filled with content, including the classic game modes and countless cards created by the community in addition the twenty originals. Better yet, you can customize your preset, size and play mode preferences in the same way as you can on the console. On XBOX, MCC multiplayer has been operating seamlessly for some time now. Reach PC flights have borne fruit, as not only several qualities of life features are present at launch, but jumping in and off the multiplayer games is efficient and buggy. Firefight works well and stays incredibly fun and addictive.

Currently, the crossed game is activated only between the Steam and Windows 10 versions of the game. 343 said they actively monitored the state of the game before deciding to put Xbox in the iron. I find it strange that a game like Modern Warfare can support the crossed game between three different platforms while 343 hesitates to include at least Windows 10 and Xbox at launch, especially with the existence of Xbox Play Anywhere. For their defense, I do not understand the network and the technical requirements of the crossed game, and I imagine that it would be complicated to link Xbox and PC players with the entire MCC available on a platform and REACH alone of L 'other.

I have not tried the mods yet, but I love that 343 support them. When installing MCC, you have the opportunity to circumvent the anti-cheat before starting the game. I have nothing else to share about it, except for my enthusiasm to see what the community is preparing Over time for the campaign and custom games.

If you played Reach, you will know the customization of the killer armor. It is by far the best of the franchise ever offered, and I am happy to know that Halo Infinite has drawn its inspiration. With this version of REACH, 343 have redesigned unlocking equipment. Instead of winning The Credits thanks to the progression in all modes like Reach original, you unlock it with the season points granted exclusively in PVP. It's pretty disappointing because I loved the satisfaction of working on this next armor, which I'm progressing in the story, I started in Firefight or I play Slayer. It's not prejudicial, but I have trouble understanding the reason for changing it. Of course, it corresponds more to the modern combat / season passes, and the armor is supposed to unlock at a more regular pace, but I prefer to choose specific equipment at me. As long as it does not take the hundred hours to win my Grenadier, I will be a happy Spartan.

Although Halo: Reach on PC is actively in the course of maintenance, he made an exceptional launch and feels good to play on the mouse and keyboard. If MCC maintains a wide base of players while the rest of the collection continues and the crossed game with the Xbox is activated, the next Halo golden age could be on the rise of infinite. I am delighted that the collection is in a phenomenal location on console, and with the PC now being my platform of choice, I am delighted to discover the rest. The popularity of Halo has undeniably diminished over the last decade, but it is not yet dead. After all, the Spartans never die. They are just lacking in action.

The vision of an independent developer for a RPG

Original text too short. In 2021, there were more than 60,000 Steam games. According to the statistics provided by Video Game Insights, 96% of these games are independent games. It seems that there is an influx of games developed independently. Yet, with this incredibly high percentage, independent games represent only 40% of steam sales. Why is it? Does this have to do with the fact that players are just not interested? With games like Among US and Latham, Hades and Fall Guys, this idea is hard to believe. Noah CAI developer, better known on the Internet under the name of Pixel Architect, has both a term and an explanation for this phenomenon. He calls it: Indiepocalypse. CAI, independent game developer and founder of World2studio, is currently working on his own game called RPG Chief. It refers to a term used by independent developers to designate the end of the golden age of the independent game. However, CAI has its own ideas about the phenomenon of Indiepocalypse. I think we...
