Cyberpunk im Cybertruck? Elon Musk will Steam in Teslas

Elon Musk Want Cyberpunk 2077 in Tesla Exit playable, at best via Steamos . This announced the Tesla-Mastermind most personally on Twitter. The TESLA series Model S already has a potent infotainment system, which can visually be described visually as a huge tablet in the dashboard of the car. According to Musk, this system could be supplied either with a steam implementation, or porting of individual games such as Cyberpunk 2077.

Elon Musk would prefer to have Steam in the infotainment system. According to him, this would be "obviously what we (Tesla) should do in the long term". Since the infotainment of current Tesla bolides is based on Linux, porting of the Steamos should be technically possible. The new interface of the Portable Steam Console Steam Deck could accommodate a tablet. So far, neither Valve , nor CD project Red to Elon Musks Tweet have evicted. Musk itself spoke already after question of a user of CyBerpunk 2077 (Buy Now € 49.22) in the Cybertruck, if only in the form of an emojis.

Are video games the future of the car?

Tesla already has experience to make video game compatible with your cars. The Function Passenger Play was already possible to play games like Cuphead or Fallout Shelter last year. However, this function was prohibited by the competent American authority at the end of 2021, which we had reported at that time. However, as the ban only refers to when the car moves, theoretically, games for Tesla cars could continue to appear. Incidentally, in Germany, it was always the case that the video games in the Tesla can only be played when the car is parked.

Entertainment in the car?

Tesla is far from the first company that wants to drive entertainment in cars. For example, there are always reports about Sony's e-car projects. The goal is to market the car not only as a means for locomotion, but also as a place of entertainment. Sony does not come from the car industry, but from the entertainment industry.

Apart from that, there are many modern vehicles already numerous screens and apps that are supposed to maintain while driving. The integration of services such as Spotify or iTunes is also no obscurer luxury in the car of today, but a recognized standard. The installation of video games so far but by no means a standard.

Elon Musk often lands through its more or less smart tweets in the news. ELON MUSK knows just as he has to sell his products and its company. However, it makes sense to use your own car when parking as a gaming PC is a completely different question.
